Berthoud SNOWFEST!

December 12 - 15, 2018

Berthoud SNOWFEST is a winter festival as well as the sanctioned Colorado Snow Sculpting Championship held in Berthoud, Colorado on 7th Street (west side of Fickel Park).

Colorado Snow Sculpting Championship - Fickel Park, Berthoud
Wednesday, December 12 until 10:00 am Saturday, December 15
Finished sculptures will be up for at least a week (weather dependent).

 

Join us for the Launch Party - December 12 - 5:30 - 7:00 pm at Grace Place. Meet and greet the teams. Learn all about the challenges of snow sculpting and get the scoop on their plans for the competition. Our gracious sponsors will also be there in support of this statewide event. Santa Clause and Mrs. Clause will be available for photos as well.

You can watch the sculptors all along the way. Friday night and Saturday morning are the really exciting times when it all comes together for the artists. Judging will begin at noon on December 15. You can vote for the "People's Choice Award." Each vote is $1. Stickers will be sold at the event and you can put them on the team's poster that you vote for. Winners will be announced at 3 pm on 7th Street by Fickel Park with an awards ceremony.

Food and drinks will be for sale at Fickel Park on Saturday, December 15 from 10 am until around 7 pm. Come support RAFT (Rural Alternative For Transportation.  CLICK HERE to find out more about this non-profit organization. (They will be serving hot cider, hot chocolate, coffee, chili, Frito pies and chili dogs.) Look for the white Chamber Tent.

Lighted Parade
Saturday, December 15 - begins at 5 pm and travels west on Mountain Avenue

Home and Business Decorating Contest
A panel of judges will determine who has bragging rights for being the best decorated home and business in Berthoud.  We will give the home a "yard sign" and the business a certificate.

  

The Developers of Heritage Ridge want to thank their residents for their patience of the last year and spread a little Holiday Cheer. Arbor Capital is sponsoring the 1st Annual Heritage Ridge Holiday Decorating Contest. Best Decorated Homes and block within the development have a chance to win cash prizes. Let's all join in the fun of decorating our beautiful town.

P.E.O. Chapter HA's 2nd Annual Christmas Home Tour
Friday, December 14 from 5-8 pm and Saturday, December 15 from 1-4 pm 

This tour features 4 homes, all uniquely decorated for Christmas: the McCarty-Fickel Home Museum, a Historic 1914 Folk Victorian Home, a Prairie Farm Sod Home, and a Norman Rockwell Home. Cost is $15 for Adults, $5 for children 10 and younger.

Purchase your tickets now at the Berthoud Chamber of Commerce, Berthoud Vintage, RE/MAX Town & County Real Estate, Indigo Sky, Wishful Living, and Little Thompson Valley Pioneer Museum.
